Rocky got to spend the day with the therapist. He had a great time. He got to use the water treadmill and that was fun. Considering the two major surgeries he had they are very impressed with his progress. I was disappointed in the home program we were given. Mostly massage and range of motion. I was hoping for more balance and strengthening. Rocky is doing well walking and getting around the yard. He has also started to want to walk around the neighborhood each day. The only thing we have not tried yet is stairs. He hasn’t showed a lot of interest yet. Probably because I am more than willing to sleep on the first floor with him. He did get on the coach a couple of time a week ago and wants to get on it again but doesn’t. I think we will just let him decide when he is ready. He also tries to play with his toys and balls but seems to not know what to do. He used to be so fast chasing everything and he seems unsure of himself now. I know it is early in his recovery and am sure he will figure it out when he is ready. I have an appointment to talk to someone about the chemo they would like him to be on. It is for after the holidays so have that to look forward to. If I don’t blog again I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for all the help and positive comments. It has been so helpful.

It is official it is Fibrosarcoma. Have to make decisions on treatment. Radiation, long term chemo, or wait and see. Have to have some discussions about this.

Rocky out enjoying the winter weather. He has always loved the snow. We went for a little walk down the sidewalk to visit a neighbor and  of course Rocky had to eat as much snow as possible.

Went to Petco to see Santa on Saturday. The place was a mad house with 2 dozen dogs all waiting to visit Santa. Rocky was in dog heaven. He had to meet everybody and every dog. He was running all over and. Y the time it was his time to see the big man he was too tired and ended up laying down to visit. Santa was more than happy to get down on his level and they had a great visit. I wish I had been able to take more pictures but he kept me running. Today Rocky is beat and a little sore. We had our first little snow today so he has been out but doesn’t really want to play. He just wants to eat the snow so that is what we do. He has made it up on the coach a few times. Some days he does still struggle but more better days than not. We tried to get in back on his regular dog food, but he will not eat it if there is no chicken or rice. So he has chicken and rice. We will try again later.

Rocky was the happiest boy this am. We visited Petco and he got see his favorite girlfriend. He got treats and lots of attention from everybody. He wasn’t just waging his tail, it was going in circles. I think it did everyone good to get out and about. Even the mice cooperated by being awake and playing. He loves to watch them. Next week will see Santa, always a fun time.
