Final Biopsy Results.

It is official it is Fibrosarcoma. Have to make decisions on treatment. Radiation, long term chemo, or wait and see. Have to have some discussions about this.

Rocky is our 125lbs lab mix. He is a big sweetheart. After limping for 18 months we finally were sent to a neurologist. They found a bulging disc and pinched sciatic nerve. 3 weeks into his recovery he could not stand. MRI showed tumor and fracture femur. On Nov15 his left rear leg was amputated.

  1. Remember, Rocky doesn’t read medical reports and could care less what they say!!

He’s too busy getting on with living life to the fullest and catching snowballs!! 🙂

Suggestion: Make a post in the forums so others who have dealt with this can offer some good insight and share their first hand experience.

Stay connected!! Looking forward to more great pictures!

  2. When Nitro’s initial diagnosis came back “sarcoma, fibrous variety”, my vet said amputation with this type of cancer is pretty much considered a “cure”. We did do 6 rounds of carboplatin, just in case. Good luck in moving forward.
